things I miss #1: playing basketball. I haven’t played in 2 months! I used to play 5 times a week. The coming elections take up so much of my time that I’ve no time to spare even for just a 5 minute game. To others it’s just a game, but it means a lot to me. But you have to sacrifice things that are important to you to attend to things that are important to everyone. Pamumuhay na di makasarili ngunit para sa nakararami!
The worst thing about being lied to is knowing that you aren’t worth the truth.

tonight, tonight.
There are two stories that I love, for completely different reasons. One is spirited away, and the other is Alice in Wonderland. One I love for its characters, and the other, I love for the world the story is set in. I’ve searched hundreds of times for a Spirited Away novel, hoping I could enjoy the story not only on the screen but on the pages of a book as well, but alas, to no avail. So of course when it was time for me to conceptualize on what book to publish, the first thing I wanted to do was to find a way to breathe new life into Spirited Away, a life separate from the one it has lived on the screen—a version I can keep on my book shelf for me to cherish and read over and over. But then I also wanted to do a new version of Alice in Wonderland. The story is so convoluted that it borders on bizarre to beautiful, and the fact that it’s a little bit of both is what makes it truly unforgettable. For a while, I was torn. But then I thought, why not do both?
Enter Spirited to Wonderland; a ‘mashup’, if you will, of the best elements of my two favorite stories. I have placed the characters of Spirited Away into the world of Alice in Wonderland, manipulating the story in such a way that they are the ones who go through what Alice has gone through. Of course, this is more than changing names of the characters; I have changed many elements of the book to make the transition believable as well as to make each event in the story fit the Spirited Away character’s personalities. It somehow feels like a play where the spirited away characters get to play the parts of the Alice in wonderland characters, but enhance the play by adding their own nuances and flavor to the ‘role’.
I have also decided to make the novel a multilayer picture book, so as the novel’s illustrations can actually serve as the book’s cover art as well. I did this because I simply hate when the cover of the book tells you absolutely nothing about what you’re going to get to read. With the use of this, readers know exactly what they are going to get without the cover giving too much away. I think the book style also fits the stories perfectly. They are both unique, complicated, and bizarre in a beautiful way.
-foreword from my alpajora plate! wala na, sabaw na. :)) will finish this TONIGHT! I SWEAR!!
I’m more than ready to leave this year behind.

A UP professor demanded a 10-page essay about “courage”. The following meeting, everyone submitted their laboriously done essays. Yet, for someone clever enough:
page 1: First Name, Middle Initial, Last Name
page 2: *blank*
page 3: *blank*
page 4: *blank*
page 5: *blank*
page 6: *blank*
page 7: *blank*
page 8: *blank*
page 9: *blank*
page 10: This is courage.

GOT MY NEW PHONE! di na ako tatamarin magreply! HO HO HO!
my favorites for 2011
before the year ends..
I love lists; I have one for every occasion. I don’t know why, just boredom, I guess. or maybe it’s me trying to organize the chaos that is my life (trying, but failing). Seeing as New Year’s is drawing near it’s time for another one! :)
More important than my christmas wishlist is my New Year’s resolution! unlike other lists this one’s divided into two parts: things I must do before 2011 ends, and things I must do once 2012 begins. Part one is for letting things go, getting them out of the way so I can start fresh for the coming year. The second part is to make sure I make the most of the clean slate I’ve made for myself. So I guess the first part is about letting go, and the second part is about letting things in.
Things I must do before the year ends:
1. finish all my overdue plates. that’s a lot of work in 4 days, but I’ve got to do it.. If I don’t I’d end up cramming again, and that’s a bad way to start the year.
2.
FORGIVE ALL THE PEOPLE WHO’VE DONE ME WRONG!!
the meme makes this feel light and look easy but really this is the hardest thing on my list I’d have to do. It’s hard to forgive people who didn’t even try to say sorry. Even harder to forgive someone who won’t even admit what she’s done wrong. I mean seriously, I know everyone deserves forgiveness but these people…. -_- How can I forgive the 3 of you when you 3 haven’t changed one bit? how can I do that when seeing you instantly put me in such a bad mood?
3. forgive myself. There are a lot of things I don’t like about myself. I resent myself for not working out more and for overeating. I resent myself for not being as good as my blockmates. I blame myself for your cheating. cliche as it may be, but i have to love myself.
4. apologize to everyone I’ve hurt or let down.
This is one year overdue. little story: I was looking at my old planner, and realized I may have left someone hanging a year ago. I left and never texted her anymore, or visited. Just left and never came back. I don’t think she needs my apology anymore, though. She looks very happy and I’m glad for her. so sometimes that’s the tricky part, knowing whether my apology will make things better or worse.
5. fix my 9gag problem. I am addicted. other people browse until they see a post they’ve already seen before. I, on the other hand, have gone to the very first page and have browsed older to newer, rather than what people do which is browse newer to older posts. I started on page one and I am now on page 3000. I have a problem. and I need to fix it.
Things I must do this 2012:
1. learn a new language, learn how to swim and how to ride a bike.
2. Schedule that driving school thing already.. not for myself, ‘cause i’m definitely not getting a car anytime soon. -_- It’s for my mom. Mom keeps asking when I could be the one to drive her to the mall for a change.
3. train for the summer. OJT at orange segment please :( must find a way..
4. apply for adcore! pleeease let this finally push through.
5. run. run for…. haha. still too shy to say.
6. be there for my family more.
7. stop being anti-social.. well not really, just shy.
yun na lang. baka pag dinamihan ko, mahirapan pa ko :p
I didn’t get the daycraft planner I wanted, so I just decorated the one mom got me! I used magazine pages from adobo magazine (my favorite magazine.. well, I get it free monthly so… hehe) and then cut out stuff from my old planner (too lazy to actually make something) and I found the perfect cover from my planner! eat sleep breathe design, which basically sums up my whole life, although admittedly leaving out a few things. It should probably be eat play sleep breathe love design… but then it wouldn’t be a nice cover, wouldn’t it?
*also featured in this photo is my favorite ultrawarm animal print blankie that has helped make my cold, cold christmas a little bit warmer, and thus, tolerable. I LOVE YOU BLANKIE I MARRY U SOMEDAY *insert forever alone meme*
babysitting tip: when all else fails, put them in front of a webcam!
some of my favorite webcam pictures of tin and gerald (because there are hundreds, I have to pick the ones I like the most). my absolute favorites are gerald’s before and after sneezing photos and the photo of gerald trying to kiss tin tin. such a cougar, my little girl. hahaha. Merry Christmas from the 3 of us! :)
